Increase in investments and entrepreneurial activity is, of course, an economic task: it is the basis for economic growth and strengthening of income tax base of a region. But it is also a political task. Therefore, this is exactly the thing that creates and increases real resources for development of healthcare, education, social sphere in general, for realization of programs on improvement of urban environment, fulfillment of environmental projects. Much in investment dynamics depends on regional management teams, as Vladimir Putin says.
According to the head of the state, on the background of the crisis the amount of capital investments in general in the country was reduced on 7.9 percent during the latest three years.
At that, growth of investments to the basic capital was registered in 21 regions. Moreover, in the best 10 subjects this growth made about 40 percent in real terms, as Vladimir Putin notes. The head of the state mentioned Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug among the enumerated regions.
As we should note, increase in investment attractiveness is one of the basic priorities in work of bodies of the state power in the arctic region.
Yamal is the energy of the Arctic, 72 percent of investments of the whole Arctic zone of the country is made with investments to projects being fulfilled in Yamal. Investments to the basic capital made about one trillion rubles. For the third year in a row industrial advance has been observed in Yamal. During the first nine months of this year it made 13 percent — this figure significantly exceeds the national average, 50 percent of industrial products of Russia’s arctic regions were manufactured in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, as the governor of Yamal says.
