For the best coverage of the set themes in Nenets language the first place was given to a teacher of the boarding school of the settlement Salemal, Yamalskiy district Yelena Salinder for her art-work “Chastichka Rodiny” (“A particle of the Motherland”).
A woman-pensioner from Salekhard Nadezhda Longortova was awarded among authors writing in Khanty language for her art-work “Devochki, smotrite; malchiki, slushaite” (“Girls, look; boys, listen”). She is a laureate of the special prize of the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and awarded with the medal “For progress in creation, preservation and propaganda of cultural values of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North”. Nadezhda publishes her works in the regional newspaper in Khanty language “Lukh Avt”. Also one of her art-works was included to the collection of songs “Ancient and modern Khanty songs”.
The prize for the art-work “Svyaz pokoleniy” (“The link between generations”) in Selkoup language will be given to Lyudmila Petrova from the settlement Tolka, Krasnoselkoup district. Lyudmila is the chief of the daytime department of the branch of the center “Miloserdiye” (“Mercy”) and is an active participant of activities on preservation, development and popularization of cultural traditions of Selkoup people.
In Yamal the contest has been conducted since 2012. Traditionally applications for participation are received on the following topics: “Native speech”, “Community – yesterday, today, tomorrow”, “Yamal is my home”, “Family”, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs.
