New capacities in Bovanenkovo field will allow extracting 115 milliard cubic meters of gas per year

In 2019 Gazprom will input to operation capacities of Bovanenkovo oil, gas, condensate field in Yamal, which will allow achieving the planned production level in 115 milliard cubic meters per year. This information was given by the head of the board of the department on extraction of gas, gas condensate and oil of Gazprom Igor Zinchenko.

As he notes, next year the final gas treatment unit will be input to operation. 80-90 wells will be commissioned. And the company will achieve the planned production level in 115 milliard cubic meters. He gave this information on the conference “Actual problems of development of oil and gas complex”.
As he clarified later, the level of production in the field would depend on amounts of consumption, as the Agency for economic information “Prime” informs. But capacities, which will allow extracting 115 milliard cubic meters, will be input to operation, as Igor Zinchenko says.
Last year production in Bovanenkovo field made 82 milliard and 800 million cubic meters of gas.
Bovanenkovo oil, gas, condensate field is the largest on the Yamal Peninsula. Its proven and preliminarily estimated gas reserves made 4 trillion and 900 milliard cubic meters. Now within development of Bovanenkovo field Gazprom is working in Cenomanian-Apt deposits, planning to achieve the planned production level in 115 milliard cubic meters of gas per year. In the future this figure should grow up to 140 milliard cubic meters after adding of Neocomian-Jurassic deposits. Earlier it was reported that Gazprom expected to achieve the planned production level in 115 milliard cubic meters of gas per year in Bovanenkovo field in 2020-2023.
