Veterans of Yamal will meet the Victory Day in Sevastopol, Saint-Petersburg, Minsk and Israel

Veterans of Yamal will participate in memorable activities in Sevastopol, Saint-Petersburg, Minsk and Israel dedicated to the 69th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
This information was given to a correspondent of IA «Sever-Press» by the first deputy director of the regional department of international and external economic relations Sergey Uramayev. As he notes, the delegation of Yamal will include veterans of the Great Patriotic War, cadets, medical employees, journalists and accompanying persons. As Sergey Uramayev informs, every year on the 6th of May all groups from different towns and settlements of the region meet in Moscow, where organizational activities are conducted. Next day the delegations visit the Lenino-Snegirevsky Museum of Military History, lay flowers to the memorial to warriors from Siberia and watch a documentary film about the battle for Moscow. On the 7th-8th of May people from Yamal go on definite routes; programs on participation in holiday activities are prepared for them in towns-heroes of Russia, in near and far foreign countries. These activities include Victory parades, ceremonies of laying wreaths and flowers to military burials places. Traditionally all the activities are finished on the 11th of May, and all delegations meet in Moscow. Next day they go home to Yamal.
This year in Sevastopol, in addition to activities dedicated to the Victory Day, the people of Yamal will visit the panorama «Defense of Sevastopol 1854-1855», the diorama «The assault of Sapun-gora on the 7th of May of 1944», the palace and park museum-reserve «Vorontsov Palace» and the historical and archeological reserve Tauric Chersonese. The meeting with representatives of the council of veterans of Crimea and the Cossack Crimean society is planned.
