This year it is planned to prohibit industrial catch of muksun on the territory of Yamal, Yugra, Tomsk Oblast and Tyumen Oblast. The restriction will come to force after signing the order, which is now on coordination in the Ministry for agriculture of the Russian Federation.
It is planned that quotas for fish-catch will be set only for scientific research, test fishing and reproduction. This information was given by the first deputy director of the department of natural-resource regulation, forestry relations and development of oil and gas complex Alexander Gavrilyuk on the sitting of the coordinating council on providing of law and order in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, which took place in Salekhard.
The problem of poaching was discussed. Transportable cordons were purchased for year-round protection of water biological resources. They allow controlling places of illegal fish-catch and ways of fish transportation. Two such cordons were set in Purovskiy district.
As we should note, quotas for catching muksun in Yamal were decreased every year: 600 tons in 2005 and already 58 tons this year.
