In Yamal tempos of hydrocarbon extraction are kept stably on the level of last year. It was confirmed with the final results of work of oil and gas extracting companies.
The following amounts were extracted from subsoil of Yamal during five months: 232 milliard 915 million cubic meters of gas, 8 million 872 thousand tons of oil and 6 million 934 thousand tons of gas condensate. Traditionally, the biggest amount of gas extraction is on account of affiliated companies of Gazprom, which provided 81.5 percent of the whole amount of gas extraction during this period of time.
The leaders on oil extraction are «Gazprom Neft» and «Rosneft». 5 million 272 thousand and 2 million 468 thousand tons of oil are on their account correspondingly.
The leader in extraction of gas condensate is Gazprom. 71 percent of the total extraction in the arctic region is on its account. NOVATEK provided extraction of 1 million 124 thousand tons, Rosneft – 403 thousand tons.
Today special attention in the world is focused on strategic projects in Yamal, which are fulfilled or planned for fulfillment, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs. The region is the basis of energy security of the country; special hopes are laid exactly on this part of the Russian Arctic in providing national economies of other countries with energy carriers. That includes also quickly growing Asia-Pacific region. Therefore, development of new system-forming centers of oil and gas extraction such as Bovanenkovo, Tambey and Novoportovskoye situated on the Yamal peninsula and also Messoyakha in the north-east and Kamenomysskoye on the Gulf of Ob is continued now in the region.
According to the information given by the governor of Yamal Dmitriy Kobylkin, only owing to development of Bovanenkovo and Tambey group of fields in 5 years gas extraction will increase up to 620 milliard cubic meters. Expected growth of oil extraction in the result of development of the north-east and startup of the trunk oil pipeline Zapolyarye-Purpe will allow more than 2 times increasing the current level of extraction, up to 45 million tons per year. Extraction of gas condensate will 2 times increase. In the medium-term prospect it will make 31 million tons per year. This information was given by the governor of Yamal Dmitriy Kobylkin on the 21st World Petroleum Congress. More than 5000 delegates from 90 countries of the world became its participants.
