The results of the single voting day are consequence of consolidation of the society around the president

Attendance of the election of 2014 to legislative assemblies was one of the highest during the whole time of conducting of single voting days. It was declared by the secretary of the general council of «Yedinaya Rossiya» Sergey Neverov, when he summed up the preliminary results of the single voting day.
As he notes, the election campaign of 2014 took place in conditions of high political competition and openness, in conditions of consolidation of the society around the President Vladimir Putin, in the conditions of unprecedented attempts of pressure from the side of West on Russia. And, according to the data being received from the regions, «Yedinaya Rossiya» as a pro-presidential party, received high support. Sergey Neverov told about it to journalists from Russian regions several minutes after closing of voting stations.
According to his words, it is already possible to say that attendance on this election can become the second by the quantity index among all single voting days. Maximum attendance among all single voting days was in March of 2011 – 47 percent, and the index of 2014, probably, can become the second, displacing the result of October of 2010 – 44 percent.
«Yedinaya Rossiya» did not set the aim to receive some definite result in this or that region. The trend (set by Vladimir Putin) on conducting of open, competitive and legitimate election was the priority. And it is seen that the campaign took place in conditions of the highest competition. 63 political parties participated, as Sergey Neverov notes.
