In spite of imposing of new sanctions towards Russia, the company Total (France) continues fulfilling Russian projects, as rusenergy.com informs.
The French company owns 18 percent of shares of the largest Russian independent manufacturer of gas, the company «NOVATEK», and also 20 percent in the project «Yamal LNG» joint with «NOVATEK». Besides, Total is an operator on development of Kharyaginskoye oil field in Nenets Autonomous Okrug with a share 40 percent.
As the press-service of the company informs, the company assesses consequences of the new sanctions on its projects in Russia. Now work on them is continued according to the plans. The company does not stop its activity on the project «Yamal LNG».
As we should remind, on the 12th of September the EU and the USA enlarged the list of sanctions against Russian oil companies. In particular, the sanctions forbid western oil-extracting and oil-servicing companies to work in Russia.
