The Secretary General of the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries Abdallah Salem el-Badri declares that he does not see influence of western sanctions on Russian oil branch. In his opinion, nothing prevents Russia from keeping the level of oil extraction.
As he notes, at the present time not any influence of sanctions on Russian oil industry is seen – he speaks about industry in general not about companies. There is nothing concrete that would prevent Russia from producing the same amount of oil and gas. He noted this in the end of the meeting with the minister for energy of the Russian Federation Alexander Novak.
As RIA «Novosti» informs, partial re-orientation of deliveries of Russian energy carriers from European market to Asian one also does not arouse anxiety in OPEC. If Russia, instead of selling to the EU, wants to turn attention to China, someone else will fill the shortage of supply of the European Union. Oil and gas are the international market for today. It will balance itself.
