The presentation of the unmanned flying vehicle «Zala aero» took place on the motor-road Salekhard – Nadym.
A representative of the department of information technologies and communication, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Aleksey Mikalin told that the flying vehicle had been elaborated by engineers from Izhevsk. It will be useful at making of maps, counting of reindeer, monitoring and also in geodesy.
In future it is planned to use the unmanned flying vehicle at passporting and designing of roads. The wingspread of the flying vehicle makes about 2 meters; its weight makes about 7 kilograms. It is launched with help of an elastic catapult as from a slingshot into the sky, and landing is fulfilled on a parachute. A high definition video-camera was set on board of the flying vehicle. It can rise on the height up to 4 kilometers, fulfill video and photo survey. Battery charge lasts for two hours. The winged machine hovers autonomously – specialists only correct its route from the land. In bad weather unmanned flying vehicles are more effective than, for example, satellites, and video equipment gives several times higher definition.
This pleasure is not cheap. However, advantages are obvious: to save time and money. An hour of flight of the unmanned flying vehicle for organizations will cost fifteen thousand rubles, for population — five thousand. This information is given by the director of «Yamal-Infoteka» Dmitriy Mazhayev.
Potential of the unmanned flying vehicle was checked in the district of Bovanenkovo at research of a karst funnel and on the municipal solid waste landfills in Salekhard and Gornoknyazevsk.
