A participant of the ecological expedition to Beliy Island, the engineer of the Siberian scientific and analytical center Yevgeniy Alekseev considers the days conducted in the unique wildlife reserve on the coast of the Kara Sea as ones of the best days in his life.
He presented the whole report about these days on Beliy Island to the collective of the Siberian scientific and analytical center. As the press-service of the center informs, rare video materials and photographs were demonstrated, views of unique nature of the Arctic interchanged with views, on which young people removed rusty casks, parts of machines and other technogenic waste.
As Yevgeniy Alekseev underlines, he wants to participate in such expedition once again. This year the expedition with participation of volunteers has been conducted for the third time. Applications for participation in it were received from 500 candidates from Russia and foreign countries. Employees of the Siberian scientific and analytical center were able to pass the selection and were included into the group of volunteers. They went to clean the arctic coastline. Before they became the team they had to overcome many training obstacles on endurance, resistance to stress. They also fulfilled climbing on the Polar Urals on the Mountain Rai-Iz. In the result, 18 adventure seekers from 18 to 34 years old arrived to Beliy Island. During three weeks they cleaned the territory of the Polar sea hydro-meteorological station named after Popov and the territory of the abandoned military base.
