Rospan conducted the record hydraulic fracturing in Urengoy field

The company «Rospan International», the affiliated enterprise of Rosneft conducted the record hydraulic fracturing in Urengoy field (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug). It allowed almost 9 times increasing production rate of a well, as it is informed on the portal advis.ru.
Effectiveness of the record hydraulic fracturing was confirmed on the well. 400 tons of proppant was pumped in to formations of Achimov deposit. Till this moment the record made 312 tons.
By the results of work, production rate of the well increased from 70 to 600 thousand cubic meters per day, condensate – from 12 to 200 tons per day. At that, bottom-hole pressure is close to pressure of the beginning of condensation, what provides optimal conditions of exploitation of the deposit. The new approach to hydraulic fracturing allowed increasing effectiveness of conducted activities on 50 percent.
Such results are consequence of work on optimization of the technology of hydraulic fracturing being conducted systemically by geologists of the enterprise and allow being sure in achievement for high indexes of extraction foreseen in the investment project of full-scale development of the field by Rospan.
The company «Rospan International» is the first enterprise, which started development of Achimov gas condensate deposits. It has fulfilled extraction of gas and condensate in Vostochno-Urengoyskoye and Novo-Urengoyskoye licensed areas since 1996. The total reserves of hydrocarbons on the pointed licensed areas make about 1 trillion cubic meters of natural gas, 150 million tons of gas condensate and 46 million tons of oil. Rosneft intends to increase gas extraction of Rospan up to 5 milliard and 600 million cubic meters in 2016 and up to 18 milliard and 400 million cubic meters in 2018, what is foreseen in the integrated project of full-scale development of Vostochno-Urengoyskoye and Novo-Urengoyskoye licensed areas. For fulfillment of the project it needs to drill and maintain 275 exploitation gas condensate wells and 19 oil wells, to build complex gas treatment units, condensate stabilization units and oil treatment units, a railroad liquid bulk terminal and considerable number of pipelines of different purpose.
