Prospects of development of the Russian center for the Arctic exploration will be discussed in Moscow

The intersessional general meeting of the founders of the noncommercial partnership «Russian center for the Arctic exploration» will take place in Moscow on the 17th of October in the representational office of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug at the government of the Russian Federation. It will be conducted by the deputy governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the director of the department of international and external economic relations of the region Alexander Mazharov.
The participants of the meeting will define priority directions of activity of the Russian center for the Arctic exploration, will scrutinize prospects of infrastructural development of the office of applied researches of the center situated on Beliy Island. Also it is planned to scrutinize the issue about forming of the working group to study the funnel in Yamal. Besides, the chairperson of the board of the non-commercial partnership will be elected on the conference, as it is informed to IA «Sever-Press» in the press-service of the governor of Yamal.
The Russian center for the Arctic exploration was created by the decision of the president of the Russian Federation. It started its work this June. In July and August the center organized two expeditions on study of the funnel found in the district of Bovanenkovo field. Besides, the integrated scientific and research expedition to the Yamal peninsula and Beliy Island took place. The round-year scientific stationary center for monitoring of natural environment was organized on the island. Researches of species diversity of flora and fauna and meteorological observations were conducted.
