The company «Severneftegazprom» put the next well on production within experimental and industrial development of Turonian gas deposit in Yuzhno-Russkoye field.
It was built for extraction of difficult Turonian gas and also for assessment of effectiveness and reliability of innovative technological equipment, as it is informed to a correspondent of IA «Sever-Press» in the office on relations with bodies of the power and public relations at Severneftegazprom.
In 2012 gas extraction from Turonian gas deposit was started in Yuzhno-Russkoye field with an experimental well with two bottomholes for the first time in Russia. The new well, according to the technological scheme of development, is an uprising wellbore with one bottomhole. As the director general of the company Stanislav Tsygankov notes, another sure step forward was made in development of difficult gas reserves in Russia. Especially he notes that the accent is focused on use of innovative and ecologically safe technologies.
Severneftegazprom is one of the largest gas-extracting enterprises of Russia; it owns the license for development, maintenance and extraction of hydrocarbons in Yuzhno-Russkoye oil and gas field in Yamal. Reserves of natural gas in the field on category ABC1+C2 make more than one trillion cubic meters. Turonian reserves are hard to extract. They contain 95 percent of methane and have no heavy admixtures. The depth makes 800-850 meters. Specifics of such deposits are in anomalously high pressure of a layer, low temperatures of a layer, heterogeneity and variability in lithological composition, low permeability of reservoirs.
