The nuclear-powered icebreaker «Taymyr» went from Murmansk to the port of Sabetta. In the Gulf of Ob it will be busy with piloting of ships with building cargoes for the project «Yamal LNG». As the press-service of Atomflot informs, in 2014-2015 peak of cargo transportation is expected in this direction.
In comparison to last year it has already three times grown. Since the beginning of the year more than 480 thousand tons of cargoes were delivered to the port of Sabetta (more than 450 thousand – dry cargoes, 25 thousand tons – oil products). Growth of cargo transportations is connected with the beginning of winter piloting to Sabetta. Besides, «Taymyr» will provide icebreaker piloting of tankers transporting oil from Novoportovskoye field. Return of the nuclear-powered icebreaker to the port of Murmansk is planned for July of next year.
As we should note, the sea port of Sabetta is being built on the project «Yamal LNG», which also foresees construction of the plant on production of liquefying of natural gas on resource base of South-Tambey field.
