The unique finding – the baby mammoth Lyuba – will be transported to the westernmost region of Russia with observation of all necessary measures of caution.
It will become an exhibit for almost 4 months of the museum of the world ocean in Kaliningrad.
It will be possible to see this exhibit from the 5th of December to the 29th of March in the exhibition center. This information was given to a correspondent of IA «Sever-Press» in the regional museum.
As we should remind, the ideally preserved baby mammoth was found in May of 2007 by the reindeer herder Yuriy Khudi on the bank of the Yuribey River. He gave it the name of his wife.
The baby mammoth Lyuba died at the age of one month 42 thousand years ago. But by state of preservation it exceeds all remnants of mammoths found earlier.
The project telling about mammoths, their way of life and world around them was embodied by the Museum-exhibition complex of Shemanovskiy and the museum of the world ocean.
