As Patrick Pouyanne also says, now the sides are working to ensure financing of the project till the middle of 2015 in the conditions of the sanctions. Falling of prices for oil does not influence on this long-term project. Even at the price in 80 dollars per barrel «Yamal LNG» stays cost-effective, as the director general of Total notes.

As we should note, this is the first official visit of Patrick Pouyanne to Russia. He was appointed to the post of the director general of the French energy concern after the death of the head of the corporation Christophe de Margerie in the Vnukovo International Airport in an aircraft crash, when the aircraft hit a snowplow on take-off.
The company Total owns 18 percent of shares of NOVATEK and 20 percent in the project «Yamal LNG». Investments of the company to the project on development of the South-Tambey gas condensate field, including construction of the plant on liquefying of natural gas, are evaluated in 27 milliard dollars.
