The team of Yamal will participate in the championship of Russia on northern all-round

The competitions and the championship of Russia on northern all-round will take place in Khanty-Mansiysk from the 8th to the 12th of December. The team of Yamal was formed by the results of the past championship and competitions of the region on northern all-round.

The team includes winners and prize-winners of the competitions from the town Salekhard, Purovskiy, Shuryshkarskiy, Tazovskiy and Priuralskiy districts.

According to the information given to a correspondent of IA «Sever-Press» in the regional sports school on national kinds of sport, this year more than in half the team of Yamal consists of young sportspersons, who will participate in the competitions of the All-Russian level for the first time. They will compete with the strongest sportspersons from all northern territories of Russia – from Chukotka to Archangelsk. The team-winner will be defined by the results of the competitions.
Northern all-round traditionally includes 5 national kinds of sport: a triple leap, jumping over narty (northern nomadic sledge), running with a stick, throwing of an axe, throwing of a tynzyan on a khorey (a lasso for catching reindeer on a long pole for driving a reindeer team).
