The delegation of the government of the Russian Federation evaluated experience in preservation of culture and health of indigenous northerners in Priuralskiy district

The delegation of federal bodies of the executive power of the Russian Federation and guests from other northern regions arrived to the settlement Aksarka, Priuralskiy district (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug) with the working visit. The head of the district Andrey Nesteruk conducted its presentation.
In the central district hospital of Aksarka they learned about modern equipment available here, about practice of work of mobile medical crews and medical prevention for nomads and also made a photo near sanitary off-road vehicles.
In the kindergarten «Raduga» (Rainbow) the guests visited a playground and a sports ground, a library, and a room for musical lessons, a veranda for walks and a winter garden. They received information about ethno-cultural traditions of the educational institution. Also they participated in the ethnic «relay race around tundra».
Pupils in clothes of Khanty people welcomed the guests in a boarding school of family type of Aksarka. National indigenous rituals, songs and dances were presented to the guests.
The deputy director of the department of culture at the government of the Russian Federation Olga Korolyova told journalists that she recognized the mission of the delegation successful. The guests were able to see how region in practice fulfilled tasks set by the head of the state, the government of the Russian Federation. According to her words, success is obvious; things that happen here are impressive. One can only rejoice, having learnt about practice of work of the region for preservation and development of traditions, way of life of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North. She underlines that the indigenous issues are actively discussed on the federal level. Therefore, federal bodies of the state power and regions together with continue taking efforts for protection of everyday life and traditions of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North.
Olga Korolyova agrees with a correspondent of IA «Sever-Press that traditions and culture is not the whole life of indigenous ethnic minorities. Their protection in much depends on opportunities of northerners to be busy with traditional kinds of economy, state support of reindeer husbandry and fishery. The deputy director of the department of culture at the government of the Russian Federation notes that there are documents regulating many issues that touch upon providing and protecting of way of life of indigenous ethnic minorities. Now work on the federal level takes place in order many documents would be improved or new decisions would be taken.
