The port of Sabetta will provide more than a half of transportations on the Northern Sea Route

The rest amount will be provided with shelf projects in the Barents Sea and the Kara Sea, as the website «Rossiyskoye Sudokhodstvo» (rus-shipping.ru) presents the words of the deputy minister of transport of Russia Viktor Olerskiy.
Till 2020-2022 the amount of transportations on the Northern Sea Route will make up to 65 million tons per year.
The declaration of the deputy minister was made during the yearly international conference «Transport and Logistics in the Arctic – 2015». Viktor Olerskiy underlines the necessity to build icebreakers, the arctic port infrastructure and to provide navigation-hydrographic information on the Northern Sea Route.
