The annual international conference «Yamal Oil and Gas – 2015» is starting its work in the regional capital – the town Salekhard.
This is a platform for development of international cooperation, exchange of experience in development of extractive fields in difficult climate conditions, discussion of legal aspects of subsoil use and others. Among the participants there are heads and specialists of Russian and foreign oil and gas companies, independent oil and gas extracting and processing, engineering companies, operators of the market, representatives of supervision agencies in the sphere of nature management and environmental protection. In total about 200 participants.
Participation of the deputy plenipotentiary envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in Ural Federal Okrug Alexander Moiseyev, the acting governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin and the governor of Tyumen Oblast Vladimir Yakushev is being expected on the first day of work of the conference within the session on development of the world market of oil, gas, LNG and a role of projects of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug in providing of global energy security.
During two days the participants of the conference will discuss the strategy of the Russian Federation and oil-gas companies on development of hydrocarbon extraction on the territory of Yamal. The representatives of companies fulfilling large industrial projects in the region will tell about basic stages of development and prospects, in particular, the talk will be about the projects «Yamal LNG» and «Gazprom Neft Novy Port». Also within discussion it is planned to open themes of geological prospecting, development of transport and social infrastructure, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs.
As we should remind, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is one of the world richest regions on reserves of hydrocarbon raw materials. Initial total resources are evaluated in 147 trillion cubic meters of gas, about 19 milliard tons of oil and about 10 milliard tons of condensate. About 16 trillion cubic meters of gas were extracted during 50 years of development of the territory.
