In Yamal more than 7000 voters voted ahead of schedule

7331 people or 2 percent of the total number of registered voters voted in Yamal. This information was given by the deputy chairperson of the Election Commission of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Igor Gorelik on the press-conference.
The early voting in hard-to-reach and remote places was started on the 23rd of August. As Igor Gorelik notes, in spite of expensiveness of this kind of voting, the region is obliged to ensure electoral rights of citizens from the number of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North.
The following data are given on the 31st of August: 1259 voters voted in Nadymskiy district, 473 – Priuralskiy district, 596 – Purovskiy district, 2419 – Tazovskiy district, 2159 – Yamalskiy district. Shuryshkarskiy district, where 425 people had voted, completed the early voting.
42 territorial election commissions were involved into conducting of the early voting. It is planned to cover 11250 voters with the early voting, 7111 of them conduct nomadic way of life, 4139 work on a rotational basis on enterprises of fuel and energy complex. 71 million rubles were allocated to organizing of the early voting with help of air transport. The Legislative Assembly of Yamal allocated 36 million rubles of this sum from the regional budget and 35 million rubles – from local budgets. Basically, helicopters MI-8 are used. Routes of flights were laid so that one flight would cover as many voters as possible. The routes can be changed because of weather conditions and specifics of way of life of tundra population.
The early voting in hard-to-reach and remote places will be finished on the 12th of September.
