The company «Mordraga» successfully completed dredging work in the port of Sabetta. Twelve vessels were used. During short ice-free season, from July to mid-October, «Mordraga» conducted dredging work on water area of a turning circle and berths of supply.
Dredging work on arrangement of a channel with the length 50 kilometers, the width 205 meters and the depth 15 meters was fulfilled in 150 kilometers away to the north, as IA «PortNews» informs. All ships were safely moved from Sabetta through the Northern Sea Route before the beginning of ice forming.
Also as last year the project was initiated by the group of companies «USK Most» appointed by the government of the Russian Federation. This is the only contractor for building of basic port constructions of the port of Sabetta in the Gulf of Ob planned for 2014-2019. The work was fulfilled under the control of Rosmorport and Rosmorrechport (Federal Agency of Sea and River Transport). Management of a project of such scale supposes uninterrupted coordination between managers of the project controlling work of separate vessels, hydrographers, who conduct constant measurements, and crews of ships, as it is informed in the company «Mordraga».
The port of Sabetta is being built within the project «Yamal LNG» for export offloading of liquefied natural gas. The project «Yamal LNG» foresees building of three lines of liquefying of natural gas 5 million and 500 thousand tons each. It is planned to input them to operation one by one in 2017, 2018 and 2019. The total capacity of the plant will make 16 million and 500 thousand tons per year. Further it is planned to build the second plant with the total capacity 16 million and 500 thousand tons.
