Specialists of Krylov State Research Centre elaborated a computer simulation model of the system of marine transportation of oil from Novoportovskoye oil, gas, condensate field on the Yamal peninsula. This work was fulfilled on request of the company «Gazprom Neft Novy Port».
During the basic part of a year traffic of ships takes place on the 500-kilometer ice channel in immovable shore fast ice of the Gulf of Ob with the thickness more than 2 meters. Drifting ice almost completely cover the open part of the Kara Sea during some months. The task was standing before the scientists – to define expenditures for oil transportation in different ice conditions in conformity with the plan of increase in deliveries. Also they specified one of basic parameters – the amount of the coastal storage enough in ice conditions of different degree of difficulty. «Overflow» of the storage needed to be excluded. The technology of simulation modelling was used exactly for solving of this task with consideration of such non-stationary factor as ice.
The simulation model reproduces dynamics of filling of the coastal storage, logics of traffic and interaction of ships in probabilistic weather conditions with consideration of freezing of the ice channel, as it is informed on the portal portnews.ru.
By the results of modelling it is set that required number of ice channels in shore fast ice will make from 4 to 7, depending on difficulty of ice conditions. The researches also allowed defining that the amount of the coastal storage in 200 thousand cubic meters is enough in easy, average and difficult ice conditions at cargo stream in 6 million tons. Attracting of an icebreaker is necessary only in severe winters, and in easy and average ice conditions tankers can move themselves.
