The International forum «Gas of Russia 2015» in Moscow

The thirteenth international forum «Gas of Russia 2015» is taking place in Moscow. The event being conducted by the Russian gas society is considered one of the most important branch events of the year.

Heads of bodies of the state power of Russia, branch research institutions, representatives of international unions and associations of gas industry, experts from different countries are participating in it.
The president of the Russian gas society, the chairperson of the committee on energy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Pavel Zavalny notes that this year is a defining one, a key one from the point of view, if it is possible to use those opportunities, which were brought to the country by the crisis together with serious challenges.
The plenary session is called «Russian gas industry: trends, challenges and prospects for development». Heads of the ministry for energy, natural resources and ecology, top-managers of the largest Russian oil and gas companies and also heads of the European Union of the Natural Gas Industry, the Gas Exporting Countries Forum, the International Gas Union and the International Business Congress were invited to participation. The briefing of speakers for journalists is foreseen after the session.
Four round tables are being conducted during the forum. They are touching upon the most important problems of gas branch. «Gazprom export», NOVATEK, Rosneft and LUKOIL together with «Verbundnetz Gas AG», «Wintershall AG» and «E. ON global commodities SE», CNPC are discussing a place and prospects of Russian gas on the European and Asian markets.
The most serious aspects of development of the internal gas market, including problems of price- and tariff-forming, improvement of payment discipline, exchange trade of gas and inter-fuel competition become the theme of the discussion for representatives of the Ministry for energy, the Ministry for economical development, the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Federal Tariff Service and also large companies-consumers of energy resources.
Work of the branch in conditions of sanctions and problems of import substitution is one of the main themes of the forum. Companies-manufacturers of Russian oil and gas equipment were also invited to participation in the round table.
The forum will be finished with the panel discussion, where the participants will discuss key challenges and complicated moments in development of gas branch, as oilcapital.ru informs.
