Russian Railways will conduct new negotiations for attracting of funds to the project «The Northern Latitudinal Railway»

The company «Russian Railways» plans to conduct additional negotiations with the company «NOVATEK» about participation in the project «The Northern Latitudinal Railway».

According to the information given by the head of Russian Railways Oleg Belozyorov within the briefing, it is suggested to discuss the opportunity of guarantees on attracting of additional funds.

Different variants are possible: joint financial participation, technological, building, probably, something will be partially purchased or taken in management. Now the whole specter of relations is being scrutinized, as he notes.
Oleg Belozyorov reminds that the agreement with «Yamal LNG» has been already signed, Russian Railways is building and reconstructing infrastructure at the expenses of the partner, as rzd-partner.ru informs.
The Northern Latitudinal Railway is the designed railroad line in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug with the length 707 kilometers on the route Obskaya – Salekhard – Nadym – Korotchayevo. The road should connect the western and the eastern parts of the region, the Northern railway line with the Sverdlovsk railway. The project is being embodied by the government of the Russian Federation, the government of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Gazprom, Russian Railways and «The Corporation of Development».
