Rosatomflot will conduct icebreaking support of ships on the Northern Sea Route till 2040

This year Rosatomflot concluded the largest contracts. They define economy of the nuclear-powered icebreaking fleet for 25 years ahead. It was declared by the deputy director general, the chief engineer of Rosatomflot Mustafa Kashka on the sitting of the public council on issues of safe use of nuclear power in Murmansk Oblast.
As Mustafa Kashka notes, the project «Yamal LNG» is being fulfilled with participation of Rosatomflot. Three contracts were concluded within this project. The first is the contract of icebreaking support, starting from the middle of 2018 to the 31st of December of 2040. Rosatomflot will provide icebreaking support exactly on the Northern Sea Route. The second is the contract on providing of work in the port of Sabetta, which was also concluded till the end of 2040. The contract till 2018, in other words, for time of building, continues acting now.
The arctic port of Sabetta and the plant «Yamal LNG» are priority projects on creation of the center for production of liquefied natural gas in Russia with the capacity 16 million and 500 thousand tons per year on resource base of the South-Tambey field.
Development of Novoportovskoye field is also considered significant in Rosatomflot, as regnum.ru notes. Together with the company «Gazprom Neft» it is planned to work as minimum till 2035. Offloading of oil was conducted 7 times this year. The new season is started. The first ship went from the port of Murmansk on Saturday and is moving to Novoportovskoye field. This is a very important promising project for Rosatomflot. Since January it is planned to conduct offloading of oil 6 times per month, in 2018 – 12-14 times per month, as the representative of the company underlines.
