The lighter carrier «Sevmorput» will go to its first commercial journey in March

In the end of February or in the beginning of March the nuclear-powered lighter carrier «Sevmorput» will be ready to go to its first commercial journey.
Running and mooring tests of the vessel took place in the end of November. It was declared by the deputy director general, the chief engineer of Rosatomflot Mustafa Kashka on the sitting of the public council on issues of safe use of nuclear power in Murmansk Oblast.
«Sevmorput» will be attracted to delivery of aviation plates to military bases in the Arctic and also of different cargoes to the port of Sabetta (Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug). As b-port.com informs, a test journey on transportation of containers from Murmansk to Petropavlovsk-Kamchtsky is planned for calculation of economical benefit.
