Dmitriy Kobylkin and Leonid Mikhelson signed the agreement on cooperation

In Moscow the governor of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug Dmitriy Kobylkin and the head of the company «NOVATEK» Leonid Mikhelson signed the agreement on cooperation for 4 years.
The document includes priority directions of joint activity: creation of favorable conditions for geological study, exploration and extraction of hydrocarbon raw materials, increase in the amount of possible use of extractable gas, including associated gas, inculcation of innovations and leading technologies in exploration of hydrocarbons, extraction, preparation and processing of oil and gas.
Besides, the sides obligatorily foresaw conducting of nature-protecting activities, continuation of work on preservation of indigenous environment of life and traditional economic activity of indigenous ethnic minorities of the North.
Also the document includes joint work in investment, scientific-technical and innovative activity and fulfillment of joint projects within governmental-private partnership, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs.
Traditionally a considerable part of the agreement is directed to socioeconomic development of Yamal, investing of funds to social sphere, charity and sponsorship. The sides will continue cooperation in development of physical culture and sport, support of sport for children and youth, training of sports reserve, culture, art, programs on preservation of traditional way of life of indigenous peoples of the North.
Also NOVATEK is obliged to inform employees of the company, general contractors and sub-contractors about norms of behavior in nomadic camps and places of pasturing of reindeer, on objects of cultural legacy of indigenous peoples.
The agreement has concrete recommendations – to who to help, how to help, in which projects to participate. In spite of macroeconomic changes, cooperation of the sides will be continued, as Leonid Mikhelson notes.
