UNESCO will extend the network of clubs in Yamal, Yugra and Tyumen Oblast

The International organization UNESCO in 2016 plans to extend the network of clubs in Tyumen Oblast, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug. This information was given to TASS in the department of investment policy and state support of entrepreneurship of Tyumen Oblast.
As the vice-president of the World and European Federations of UNESCO Clubs, Centers and Associations Dmitriy Subtselniy notes, UNESCO took the decision to extend the network of clubs in Yamal, Yugra and Tyumen Oblast. The corresponding decision was marked in the resolution, which was signed on the 25th of December on the regional conference on the world cultural heritage and youth and the role of UNESCO clubs in fulfillment of UNESCO priorities. As he underlines, it will allow regions to inculcate the best practices in work with youth, which will become orienting points for other national Federations of UNESCO clubs and centers. The issue about the number of opened clubs will be solved in the beginning of the next year.
According to the words of the president of the foundation for development of science, culture, education, sport and tourism «Cooperation» of Tyumen Oblast Yelena Suleymanova, now about 100 UNESCO clubs work in Russia. They are situated predominantly in Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk Oblasts and Bashkiria on the basis of schools. Presence of the international organization in regions will allow advancing socio-cultural identity of ethnic minorities of the North more actively on the international level.
