Specifics of organizing of health care in Yamal is being scrutinized in Moscow

The parliamentary hearings on specifics of organizing of health care in northern and arctic regions of Russia – a legislative aspect are being conducted in Moscow. The event is being conducted by the committee of the State Duma of the Russian Federation on health care.
According to the information given to IA «Sever-Press» in the regional center for medical prevention, Yamal within the hearings is being represented by the chief specialist on preventive medicine of the regional department of health protection of Yamal Sergey Tokarev and the chairperson of the Yamal society of physicians Irina Gruzdeva.
The participants of the hearings are discussing aspects of legislative regulation of medical services being rendered to inhabitants of remote populated areas of Yamal, issues of financial and material-technical support of establishments of health care in conditions of the Arctic. Besides, it is planned to listen to the report about medical care of rotational workers and indigenous peoples of Yamal.
Sergey Tokarev considers that at preparation of legislative initiatives and elaboration of draft laws in health care it is necessary to consider obvious regional specifics of northern territories, including climate-geographical and infrastructural peculiarities. In his opinion, special approaches should be used at organizing of medical help to indigenous inhabitants of tundra and remote settlements. Sergey Tokarev considers that municipal authorities, deputies and employers also should take active part in forming and fulfilling of interdepartmental programs on health protection of people in Yamal.
Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug is distinguished with extreme natural and climate conditions and complicated transport schemes. At that, mainly air ambulance fulfills urgent medical help to population and evacuation in majority of cases. At rendering of the first medical and sanitary aid a considerable role is played by mobile medical teams and movable diagnostic complexes.
