By 2025 NOVATEK plans to take seven percent of the LNG-market

It is expected that within the projects “Yamal LNG” and “Arctic LNG” liquefied natural gas of NOVATEK will be able to take up to 7% of the international market by 2025. These words of the chairman of the company Denis Khramov were quoted by gazeta.ru.
The project foresees building of two plants of liquefied natural gas – “Yamal LNG” and “Arctic LNG”. The total aim is to output 33 million tons of LNG by 2025, what, according to assessments of specialists of the company, will take up to 7% of the world market, as he explains.
As we should remind, the project “Yamal LNG” foresees building of three lines on liquefying of natural gas in 5 million and 500 thousand tons each. They will be input to operation one after another in 2017, 2018 and 2019.
The total capacity of the plant will make 16 million and 500 thousand tons of liquefied natural gas per year on resource base of the South-Tambey field. Commercial production within “Arctic LNG” will start in 2023.
