NOVATEK is sure in considerable growth of gas reserves of the project on the Gydan peninsula, by the results of geological prospecting from present proved and probable reserves in 1 trillion and 500 milliard cubic meters.
This information was given by the deputy chairman of the board of NOVATEK Denis Khramov. As he says, “Arctic LNG”, the second export project foreseen within the complex plan is the next project of the company on liquefying of gas. Now assessment of resource base is taking place. Seismic work is being conducted. Drilling is planned for 2017-2018. Denis Khramov presented this information within the forum “Trade and Industrial Dialogue: Russia – Japan”.
According to the words of the deputy chairman of the board of the company, resource base has been already presented – proved and probable reserves on classification SEC make 1 trillion and 500 milliard cubic meters, as it is informed on the portal angi.ru. Denis Khramov adds that also resource potential in the amount of 2 trillion cubic meters exists. There are no doubts that reserve balance will grow by the results of geological prospecting, as he is sure.
Earlier he declared about suggestions of NOVATEK to Japanese companies to participate in fulfillment of the second project of the company on building of the plant on liquefying of gas on the Gydan peninsula in Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug.
