The Yamal Union of Reindeer Herders presented the ecological project for the international contest

More than 300 projects and achievements from Russia, the USA, China, Belarus, Ukraine, Azerbaijan, Serbia and Mongolia are claiming for the prize in the international contest “Crystal Compass” this year. For the first time Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug became the leader among Russian regions by the number of announced works.
It presented 27 projects. Krasnoyarsk Krai and Moscow have a little smaller number of achievements, as the press-service of the administration of Salekhard informs.
In the capital of Yamal the Reindeer Herders’ Union of Russia initiated the project on cleaning tundra. The ecological movement has already showed itself from the best side. The idea of cleaning tundra from domestic household waste on reindeer routes around Salekhard attracted hundreds of participants during two years of its fulfillment. In the prospect the project promises to become all-arctic. It is possible to vote for it on the official website of the contesthttp://rus-compass.ru/projects/3120/#.
Now the expert council should define the best works and winners. The leader in the nomination “Public acceptance” will be defined in the result of voting on the website. Terms of voting will be announced additionally.
By the tradition, first the organizing committee will announce the list of finalists. The winners from their number will be announced on the ceremony of awarding with the prize. They will receive the statuette made of crystal and silver. The ceremony will take place in May of 2016.
The national prize “Crystal compass” was founded in 2012. During this time 815 authorial collectives from 80 regions of Russia and 18 countries of the world claimed for the prize. Projects in the nomination “Public acceptance” on the internet-voting were supported by 500 thousand users.
