Tankers of Sovcomflot transported one million tonnes of oil from Novoportovskoye field

Three unique arctic shuttle tankers of Sovcomflot of the series “Shturman Albanov” transported 1 million tonnes of crude oil extracted in Novoportovskoye oil, gas, condensate field from the Gulf of Ob of the Kara Sea to the port of Murmansk.
The jubilee millionth consignment of oil was loaded to the tanker “Shturman Albanov” on the 29th of January through the sea terminal “Vorota Arktiki” situated in the district of Cape Kamenniy of the Gulf of Ob, as the press-service of Sovcomflot informs.
Tankers of Sovcomflot have fulfilled 33 trips with oil of the Novy Port brand since last autumn. Loading of the first large-tonnage consignment of oil was fulfilled on the 12th of September of 2016 to the lead ship of the series — the tanker “Shturman Albanov”.
Three arctic shuttle tankers of Sovcomflot – “Shturman Albanov”, “Shturman Malygin” and “Shturman Ovtsyn” were designed purposefully for delivery of crude oil from the Yamal peninsula to the port of Murmansk in conditions of round-year navigation. The ships were registered under the Russian flag, Saint Petersburg is the homeport. Transportations of oil are fulfilled within the long-term contract with the company “Gazprom Neft”.
