By the results of the previous year, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug attracted more than 800 milliard rubles of investments. All these are large projects on the territory of the region – the port of Sabetta, Pyakyakhinskoye field of LUKOIL, projects of “Gazprom Neft” and “Rosneft”, the arctic terminal. This information was given by the governor of Yamal Dmitriy Kobylkin on the Russian Investment Forum in Sochi.
The head of the region adds that in 2017 the task is to attract not smaller amount of investments, as tass.ru informs. The main thing is to keep amounts without decreasing them. During the latest 6 years the region allocates big sums of monetary means to infrastructural objects, there are no stops within fulfillment of the Northern Latitudinal Railway, railways, the port of Sabetta, building of bridges and motor roads. As he notes, the region would have continued investing and allocating funds independently, had it not been for the crisis situation and deficit of taxes.
In 2016 the port of Sabetta worked during the whole navigation, 120 ships registered their arrival and departure. Two transit cargoes – one to Tobolsk and the second to Kazakhstan – were registered for the first time within history of the Northern Sea Route. Cargo turnover through the sea port and the airport of Sabetta 5 times increased in 2016 – up to 5 milliard and 200 million dollars.
Earlier the plenipotentiary envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in Ural Federal Okrug Igor Kholmanskikh informed that investments to the major capital of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug during 3 quarters of 2016 made 750 milliard rubles – this is the best index in the region.
The Russian Investment Forum is taking place in Sochi. Its program is concentrated on three thematic units: “New regional policy: opportunities for development”; “Improving business performance: opportunities for growth” and “Projects for life”.
