The Board of Directors of “Gazprom” approved the company’s work on fulfillment of large investment projects. They are strategically important for energy security of Russia, are directed to increase in reliability of gas supplies of domestic and foreign consumers, create conditions for further strengthening the company’s positions on the global energy market.
All priority projects are fulfilled in accordance with the agreed schedules, as the board of information of “Gazprom” informs.
In particular, the participants of the sitting note that the main resource base of the company is moving further to the North. Thus, “Gazprom” conducts complex work on development of the gas production center in Yamal and expansion of the Northern gas-transporting corridor, which changes the stream scheme of gas deliveries to consumers in the European part of Russia and for export.
The company increases its production capacities in the largest field of the Yamal Peninsula — Bovanenkovo, where two gas deposits successfully operate. Last year two booster compressor stations and new wells were input to operation, they allowed bringing the field to the new level of peak production rate in 264 million cubic meters of gas per day. This year it is planned to input to operation one more booster compressor station. Construction of the third gas deposit, which will allow bringing the field to the project production level in 115 milliard cubic meters of gas per year, is continued.
The gas pipeline “Bovanenkovo — Ukhta 2” with a length about 1260 kilometers was input to operation this January. Construction of the gas pipeline “Ukhta — Torzhok 2” is continued: this year it is planned to input to operation about 500 kilometers of 970 kilometers of the linear part.
Modern and high efficient gas pipelines of the Northern corridor are a part of the new route for delivering of Russian gas to the European market – along the gas pipeline “Nord stream 2”. The way from Yamal through the Baltic Sea to North-Western Europe is the shortest, reliable and effective export channel. Fulfillment of the project “Nord stream 2” takes place according to the planned schedule; input to operation of the both lines of the sea gas pipeline is scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2019.
The Board of the company was instructed to continue the work on fulfillment of large investment projects.
