Since 2018 special statistical registration will be input for regions being situated in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.
It was stated by the plenipotentiary envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in the North-Western Federal Okrug Nikolay Tsukanov within the conference on preparation of the international forum “The Arctic — Territory of Dialogue”, which will take place on the 29th and the 30th of March in Arkhangelsk.
As the envoy notes, that important social and economic indicators, including the level of wages and unemployment, will be separately recorded towards the Arctic regions, as regnum.ru reports. Nikolay Tsukanov says that updated statistical data on input to operation of new housing, industrial objects, development of agriculture and also information about the level of satisfaction of inhabitants of the Arctic regions with living standards, will appear this year. These measures mean that attention to the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation will increase, as Nikolay Tsukanov notes.
As we should remind, the Russian Arctic zone is not a unit of administrative-territorial division but stands out as a special object of state administration. It consists of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug, Murmansk Oblast. In addition, the Arctic zone includes Arkhangelsk, Severodvinsk, Novodvinsk, Novaya Zemlya, Onega, Mezen and Primorsky districts of Arkhangelsk Oblast, the towns Vorkuta and Norilsk, Taymyr and Dolgan-Nenets districts of Krasnoyarsk Krai. On the territory of Yakutia the following territories are considered arctic: Allaikhovskiy, Dolgan-Evenk, Bulunsky, Nizhnekolymsky and Usl-Yanskiy districts (Uluses).
