Yamal topped the rating of Russian regions by the amount of investments per capita — 2050 million rubles. A share of Yamal made 72 percent in the total amount of investments of the Russian Arctic zone, on 6 percent higher than last year.
By the amount of industrial production calculated per capita Yamal took the first place among the regions of Ural Federal Okrug and the second place among regions of the Russian Federation, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs.
Last year the region passed the symbolic figure in one trillion rubles of investments. This is a result of the policy on support of priority investment projects being conducted since 2010 by the government of the region. Today it is obvious that the decision taken several years ago gives positive results, as a deputy governor of Yamal Dmitriy Artyukhov says.
In the region in 2016 companies input to operation a row of new extractive fields — Yarudeyskoye (“NOVATEK”), Novoportovskoye (“Gazprom Neft”), the East-Messoyakhskoye (“Gazprom Neft” and “Rosneft”). The Arctic marine oil terminal “Vorota Arktiki” (The Arctic Gate) was started up in Novoportovskoye field. The trunk pipeline Bovanenkovo — Ukhta and the oil pipeline Zapolyarye — Purpe – Samotlor were input to operation. The second pipeline allows involving resources of oil fields – Urengoyskoye, Russkoye, Zapolyarnoye, the East and the West Messoyakhskoye fields and others into development. The total amount of oil reserves along the line makes 980 million tonnes.
Growth of oil production has been registered for the first time since 2004 in Yamal; it made 129.1 percent by 2015.
Input to operation of new strategic projects is being expected soon — the plant “Yamal LNG” and the new arctic seaport of Russia in Sabetta, Noviy Urengoy gas and chemical cluster, which will complete creation of the unified technological chain: from gas extraction to production of polyethylene.
