Germany and Sweden plan to join the project “Yamal LNG”

“Yamal LNG” will attract more than 200 million euro from financial institutes of Germany and Sweden. This information was given to journalists by the head of NOVATEK Leonid Mikhelson.
There is much technical work. Probably, a month or two will be necessary to attract financing. Maybe, it will be more than 200 million euro, as he says in his answer on attracting of finances from Germany and Sweden to the project “Yamal LNG”.
Earlier Leonid Mikhelson noted that financial institutes of Germany and Sweden planned to join financing of the project “Yamal LNG”, as TASS informs.
The project “Yamal LNG” fulfills the project on building of the plant on liquefying of natural gas with the capacity 16 million and 500 thousand tonnes per year on resource base of the South-Tambey field. The beginning of production of liquefied natural gas is planned for 2017. The cost of the project is estimated in 27 milliard dollars. Practically the whole amount – 96% of the future amount of LNG was contracted. The shareholders of the project are: NOVATEK (50.1%), Total, CNPC (20% each) and the Silk Road Fund (9.9%).
