Young handball players from Salekhard won the victory in the All-Russian children’s league

Handball players from Salekhard, Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug became the winners of the All-Russian children’s league. The competitions took place in Tyumen.

The strongest teams from Yekaterinburg, Chelyabinsk, Yugra participated in them. Pupils of the children’s and youth sports school of the town Salekhard under leadership of coaches Igor Pribega and Sergey Shalnev once again proved that that they were the strongest in their age category.
The final match of the team from Yamal with the sportspeople from Yekaterinburg brought the victory. The match was completed with the score 9:31. In the result, the handball players from Salekhard became the champions and won the voucher to the final of the All-Russian Children’s Handball League. The competitions will take place from the 5th to the 13th of August in Moscow. Winners from all nine federal regions of the country will participate in them.
As Sergey Shalnev notes, he did not wait for such big success of his pupils. As teams of Yamal have a small number of away matches because of geographical position of the region. On the 31st of May the young sportspeople went to the international handball festival to Tolyatti. Later they will go to the two-week training camp.
