NOVATEK and Fluxys plan to cooperate in LNG-projects

Within the St. Petersburg international economic forum NOVATEK and company Fluxys signed the memorandum on mutual understanding.

They will develop strategic cooperation in fulfillment of projects of low-tonnage liquefied natural gas in Europe, joint development of LNG sales markets in Europe and Latin America, optimization of transport logistics and other spheres of use of LNG, as the press center of NOVATEK informs.
“I have no doubt that mutually beneficial cooperation with such a partner as a large infrastructural company Fluxys will contribute to development of new LNG markets and advancement of NOVATEK on these markets, will increase efficiency of the projects being fulfilled on our resource base of extractive fields on the Yamal and Gydan Peninsulas, as the chairman of the board of NOVATEK Leonid Mikhelson said.
Low tonnage LNG, in the opinion of managing director and CEO of Fluxys Pascal De Buck, meets all requirements for reducing of carbon emissions and impact of heavy transport, navigation and energy consumption of remote industrial enterprises on human health. The company is pleased to expand its mutually beneficial cooperation with NOVATEK aimed at fulfillment of potential of low tonnage LNG today and in the future, as he notes.
