Dmitry Kobylkin and Boris Dubrovsky signed the agreement on cooperation

The governor of Yamal Dmitry Kobylkin and the governor of Chelyabinsk region Boris Dubrovsky signed the agreement on trade-economic, scientific-technical, social and cultural cooperation for five years. The validity is counted from the time of signing — from the 1st of June, 2017.

The document includes cooperation in lawmaking, economic and trade relations, agriculture, scientific researches and innovations, transport, architecture, housing complex, education, health care and environmental activities. The agreement also touches upon culture, sports, state national policy, youth policy, social protection, labor relations, informatization and communication, public relations and much more. Yamal and Chelyabinsk Oblast agreed to assist to participation of specialized organizations in fulfillment of joint investment projects and programs, to share experience on attracting of investments and improving of investment climate. The regions will coordinate exhibition and fair activities, to develop entrepreneurship, to share experience of fulfillment of public-private partnership in the sphere of motor road, railroad, air and water transport and on innovations in passenger transportations. The agreement touches upon practically all aspects of activity in interests of residents of the two territories, as the press-service of the governor of Yamal informs. Thus, the leaders of the regions agreed on deliveries of marketable fish and biological feeding-stuffs, fish seed, supply of population of Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug and Chelyabinsk region with agricultural products and food products.
Yamal and Chelyabinsk Oblast support each other as good neighbors in everything and always. They develop humanitarian ties, culture, sports, patriotic movement and joint youth initiatives. The today’s phase of cooperation between the regions of Ural Federal Okrug is connected with prospects of approach of industrial capacities to new economic horizons, as Dmitry Kobylkin notes. He is sure that the investment project of Yamal “Energy of the Arctic”, which is supported on the highest level, will give a new impulse to strong industry of Chelyabinsk Oblast. It will open an approach to new world consumers of Russian products. Also there are reserves and interest in development of interregional transport and logistics joint projects, as Dmitry Kobylkin notes.
The head of the Arctic region invited representatives of small and medium business of Chelyabinsk region to cooperation: “There are points of growth and joint projects on the arctic land. We are glad to suggestions from scientific circles, representatives of agro-industrial complex. We are open for constructive work on all directions”, as the governor said.
