Vladimir Pushkaryov: We started revision of federal environmental draft laws

The ecological situation will be among basic indicators of efficiency of work of business and the entire vertical of the power. It was stated by a deputy of the State Duma of the Russian Federation Vladimir Pushkaryov.

He marks the special role of arctic regions in extraction of energy resources but underlines importance of industrial development of the territory in accordance with environmental standards and also obligatory work on liquidation of accumulated environmental damage in the period of soviet accelerated development of the circumpolar territories. According to his words, now active work is conducted on organizing of revision of the federal base of draft laws in industrial, environmental and ecological directions.
The issue of ecology has special significance in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation. Here it is focused not on standard issues of landscaping, water treatment or cleaning of places of mass rest as it is usually understood. Arctic ecology is an issue of integrated security of the global climate and complicated technological process”, as Vladimir Pushkaryov notes.
As we should note, since 2012 the Russian center for exploration of the Arctic together with Yamal-Nenets Autonomous Okrug has conducted the general cleaning on Beliy Island in the Kara Sea. More than 800 tonnes of scrap metal were collected manually on an area 1900 square kilometers. In July volunteers of Yamal will land on Vilkitsky Island, where they will begin preparatory work for its cleaning. The preliminary air photography shows that it needs to remove about 800 tonnes of garbage: abandoned constructions, accumulators, parts of machines, casks after fuel and parts of meteorological rockets.
In addition, the volunteer environmental project “The future of the Arctic” on cleaning of unauthorized landfills around towns of Yamal was presented on the 30th of May.
