Nadezhda Salinder with “The Shaman’s Tambourine” became a nominee of the literary prize of Ural Federal Okrug

A woman-writer from Yamal Nadezhda Salinder became a nominee of the literary prize of Ural Federal Okrug with the book “Buben Shamana” (“The Shaman’s Tambourine”).
The ceremony of awarding of laureates and nominees of the prize took place on the 9th of June in Yekaterinburg. The plenipotentiary envoy of the President of the Russian Federation in Ural Federal Okrug Igor Kholmanskikh welcomed the participants. As he notes, this year the ceremony is dedicated to the Day of Russia. He congratulated the participants with the holiday, wished them for happiness, health and creative achievements.
Traditionally the candidates for the literary prize competed in four categories: prose, poetry, literature and criticism. More than thirty authors from ten regions of Russia, and also from Germany and Belarus presented their works for the contest. Among them there are recognized masters and young writers. According to the words of the plenipotentiary envoy, the works presented for the literature contest are distinguished with meaningful deep content and also with perfect style. The short list includes eleven participants. Five candidates became the laureates, three authors — nominees, and three were marked with special nominations.
The representative of Yamal Nadezhda Salinder could not come to the ceremony. Employees of the representational office of Yamal in Yekaterinburg will give her the diploma. According to the information given to journalists by the co-chairman of the jury, the co-chairman of the Union of Writers of Russia Alexander Kerdan, Nadezhda Salinder is an original and unique person. The jury liked her work very much. She tells about life of indigenous peoples of Yamal.
“It is difficult to retell the storyline, you must read the book “Buben Shamana”; it contains very profound philosophy of life. Nadezhda Salinder writes about what she knows about her nation, about destiny and about people around her”, as Alexander Kerdan said.
According to his words, the book by the writer from Yamal “Buben Shamana” will be nominated for the all-Russian literary prize named after Mamin-Sibiryak, the presentation of which will take place in November in the village Visim in Sverdlovsk region.
