“Ruslan” delivered equipment for the plant “Yamal LNG” to Sabetta

The cargo aircraft AN-124 “Ruslan” landed in the international airport of Sabetta. From Frankfurt it delivered 76 tonnes of equipment purposed for the plant on production of liquefied natural gas “Yamal LNG”. Such big aircraft has arrived to Sabetta for the second time. “Ruslan” is the most cargo-lifting aircraft in the world and is able to provide transportation of cargoes weighing up to 100 tons.
Since the beginning of this year customs officers of Yamal have registered 31 arrivals of international flights from France, Germany, Belgium, Singapore, China, Scotland and South Korea. The total weight exceeded 435 tonnes. As it is explained in the press service of the Yamal-Nenets customs office, in total 92 declarations for goods were issued. The significant increase in the number of international flights in Sabetta is connected with the necessity of commissioning and startup of the first stage of the LNG plant in the fourth quarter of 2017. For comparison, 11 international flights arrived last year.
