Russia Day was celebrated in Yamal with holiday activities, events and competitions

The holiday activities dedicated to Russia Day took place in all towns and settlements of Yamal on the 12th of June.

The holiday concert “Be prosperous, my Motherland” took place in Noyabrsk. Different creative and sports activities, the traveling exhibition were organized for town-dwellers on the ethnic festival “Streets of the world”. Visitors were able to make a souvenir “Dove”, participated in the action “The Flowering Tricolor”, filled in the map of Russia with flowers and signed with their own names, played outdoor games of different nations. In addition, the town-dwellers received ribbons with the Russian tricolor. On the creative platform “I love Russia” employees of the Museum made interesting body art on hands and face of everyone, who wished.
The interesting holiday program was prepared for citizens in Noviy Urengoy. The combined excursion on the exhibitions “Reflection of history”, “Time, forward” and “The world of the legend” took place in addition to the holiday meeting, sports competitions and the concert. A master of decorative and applied arts and crafts of Yamal Viktor Seliverstov conducted the art class and the master class “The Russian Tricolor”. Everyone, who wished, was able to make a souvenir in honor of Russia Day.
The meeting took place in Salekhard on the square of the center for culture and sports “Geolog” by the initiative of the town public organization of veterans of labor, armed forces and law enforcement bodies. Representatives of the government, of the Legislative Assembly of Yamal, creative collectives participated in it. The program was continued with the traditional festival of national cultures “Many nations — one country”. Representatives of different nationalities residing in the regional capital presented their national culture and traditions. Concerts of soloists and creative collectives took place. In addition, work of the fair was organized; people were able to taste dishes of Russian, Ukrainian, Caucasian, Bulgarian and Belarusian cuisine.
The ceremony of giving passports of Russian citizens to students of schools took place in Muravlenko on Russia Day. The political action “The Tricolor”, folk festivals and sports events were organized.
The competitions in mini-football, street ball, arm wrestling and volleyball took place in the town Gubkinskiy. Young citizens participated in the action “The Russian Tricolor”. In Gubkinskiy the youngest inhabitants were the hosts of the festival – the parade of baby carriages and children’s contests were organized. The action “My Russia — my home” timed to the holiday took place in Krasnoselkoup district. Along the way the participants distributed ribbons, flags and balloons of white-blue-red color.
The military-patriotic game “Zarnitsa” was organized in Labytnangi. Schools organized contests of drawing and painting and sports programs for children. The search relay race “Russia, forward!” took place for youth. The festive program was completed with performances of creative collectives of the town “Russia – our beloved country”.
The event “The Flowering Tricolor” and thematic activities dedicated to the national holiday took place in Priuralskiy district. In addition, villagers received souvenirs with the image of the Russian tricolor, brochures with history and text of the anthem, ribbons and flags with the state symbols of Russia.
The motor rally “I am a Russian”, the concert with distribution of ribbons of the tricolor took place in Shuryshkarskiy district. On the solemn ceremony four adolescents received passports of citizens of the Russian Federation. The festive procession, the meeting and the action “We are Russians” took place in the settlement Tazovskiy. Also youth conducted the flash mob, participated in sports competitions. The book-illustrative exhibition “Russia is in the heart of each of us” took place the settlement Nakhodka, and the exhibition of children’s drawings was organized in the settlement Antipayuta. The flash mob “My generation chooses life” was conducted in the settlement Urengoy, the concert program “Great Russia” and the photo-exhibition of folk costumes took place in the settlement Purovsk.
Holiday meetings, interactive games, exhibitions, sports competitions and concerts took place in all towns and districts of Yamal.
