On the 15th of June the nuclear-powered icebreaker “50 Let Pobedy” of Atomflot will go to a cruise to the North Pole. It will be the first trip this year.
On board it will carry 125 tourists from Asia and Europe to the northernmost point of the planet. The duration of the cruise “Murmansk – the North Pole – Murmansk” will make 11 days.
The Arctic tourism is good advertising for work of nuclear-powered icebreakers of “Rosatomflot”, as the director general of “Atomflot” Vyacheslav Ruksha notes. With their own eyes tourists from different parts of the planet can see security of nuclear power and reliability of the nuclear-powered icebreaking fleet. Nuclear-powered icebreakers work well, delivering tourists from the whole world to the North Pole, what seemed impossible earlier.
The organizers of the cruise prepared the interesting program about flora, fauna and climate of the Arctic for the guests. The tourists will get acquainted to picturesque arctic bays, will eat the polar barbeque and will be able to swim in the Arctic Ocean, as the press-service of “Rosatomflot” informs. This summer the nuclear-powered icebreaker “50 Let Pobedy” will take 5 tourist cruises to the North Pole.
