Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin put forward the idea of wider use of liquefied natural gas, in particular, to use it as fuel for products of machine building. With this proposal he spoke on the sitting of the State Commission on Arctic Development in Sabetta.
Such amounts of production of LNG should motivate machine-builders to look at LNG as at fuel, which can be used inside the country, as he says. “We have huge amounts of machine building, why not to use it, both from the point of view of electric power generation across the Arctic zone and just as fuel for new machines”.
According to Dmitry Rogozin, thus it is possible “to achieve absolute independence and to make the jump, like we did with MS-21”, as it is reported on the website of the State Commission on Arctic Development.
“We did not trail behind aircraft designers and aircraft builders of the leading countries, but we tried to take a risk and cut corners, outlined the point, came to creation of the aircraft using modern composite materials, and we received the result. Now we are really competitive. We won”, as Deputy Prime Minister said.
He believes that at use of LNG it is necessary to look at all measures of its introduction within primary fuel for machine building.
“Moreover, now we are on the stage of adoption of new state programs, which will be connected with development of industry and, first of all, machine building”, as Dmitry Rogozin concluded.
