The second million tonnes of oil was extracted in the East-Messoyakha field

The company “Messoyakhaneftegaz” announced about extraction of the second million tonnes of oil during nine months since the beginning of industrial operation of the East-Messoyakha field on the Gydan Peninsula.
120 exploitation oil wells operate now on the northernmost continental oil, gas, condensate deposit of Russia. The average daily production makes 8300 tonnes per day.
This year the company will continue increasing production due to double growth in amounts of exploitation drilling in comparison to the previous year, as the press center of the company informs. In order to accomplish this task “Messoyakhaneftegaz” successfully fulfilled the large-scale program on mobilization of additional drilling rigs, the total number of which by June of this year reached nineteen. Fourteen of them conduct exploitation drilling, five – geological prospecting drilling.
Use of effective technologies of geological prospecting and drilling assists to keeping of stably high level of extraction of difficult reserves in the East-Messoyakha. Update of a conceptual geological model of the Messoyakha group of fields is conducted in parallel with work on intensification of extraction. It will allow operatively involving new promising reserves to development, as the director general of “Messoyakhaneftegaz” Viktor Sorokin says.
